... and many others!

Bowling

There are a few places to bowl in Samui. The Living Bowl Centre can be found in central Chaweng above McDonalds and there is also a bowling alley in the Tesco Lotus shopping mall. There are 12 top quality lanes in a disco style atmosphere and a pro shop where you can buy shoes, bowling balls and other accessories . An on-site restaurant provides food and drinks for hungry customers who don't want to stop bowling.

Buffulo Fighting

It is one of the most popular sports in Southern Thailand, with a half dozen stadiums around the island.  The bamboo-made walls and coconut palms branches obstruct the sight of those who did not pay for their seats.

Fight ends when one of the two buffaloes turns over, generally well before harm occurs, sometimes a fight can last a few seconds.

The main purpose of this kind of event for an indigenous is not so much the show, but rather playing for high stakes where very important sums are bet.

Canopy Adventures

To explore Koh Samui's jungle from a different perspective go to Koh Samui Canopy Adventures.

Swinging through the trees on over 500 metres of cable is definitely a different way to see the island! Featuring 6 different tree houses, beautiful waterfalls and even a hammock bar for a refreshing drink.

They also provide a free shuttle from anywhere on the island. Samui Canopy Adventures is located in the jungle inland from Bophut beach and is well signposted.

Crocodile Farm

There are 2 crocodile farms on the island, one of which is located behind the airport and on a 7000 square metres area, you will find more than 100 animal species such as Siam and sea water crocodiles, caymans, snakes, lizards, apes and many others. There are 2 daily shows, at 2 and 4.30 pm.

The second one is situated in the south of the island, at Namuang Waterfall II. It is not to be missed for the dramatic show, with a beautiful young lady who puts her head in the mouth of the crocodile... and it is a good opportunity to admire the country's wild fauna without needing to venture into the deep jungle..

 Mountain Biking

One alternative way to explore Koh Samui is by bicycle. There are several tour operators that offer guided tours around the island, bike rentals and sales. They stock quality bicycle brands such as Cannondale and provide all equipment from helmets to kneepads.

All trips are usually led by experienced guides fully trained in first aid response.

Quad Bikes & Paintballing

Children of all ages can play war at 3D Paintball's huge, sculpted terrain in the hills above Maenam. The same location is also used for bouncing around on quad bikes, though they are strictly for adults only. Alternatively, for a full day out, the management will organise a variety of adventure games deep in the jungle.

So if you like the sound of 'transferring the president', 'capturing the flag', 'village attack' or 'smugglers vs. police' this could be an ideal day out. Standard paintball guns are free - customers only pay for pellets, which are 3 Baht each. There's also a selection of BB Guns for hire, which are molded to look menacingly like M16s and Kalashnikov's. Free hotel transfer.

Tennis

There are two tennis clubs on Samui; Samui Tennis Club in Nathon and Koh Samui Tennis Club at Santiburi Resort, Mae Nam. You will find good tennis courts on Samui. Most of them are located in hotel areas as; Santiburi Resort, Imperial Samui Hotel, Amari Palm Reef Resort, Centara Grand Beach Resort and a few other locations. New tennis facilities do come to the market so check with the Villa Manageress. There is also a private tennis court 5 minutes away from the villa which can be hired by the Villa Manageress.

Waterballing

The "Coolest and Newest" adventure on Samui.

Completely safe and fun for all ages. Located at Bophut Hills golf club, you will be placed in a big plastic ball, a few litres of water is added and you will be pushed down a ramp to gain speed. Owners have never tried this!

Thai Boxing

Thai boxing is the national sport in Thailand and is recognized as being one of the toughest forms of martial arts in the world. You can watch professional Muay Thai at the Chaweng Stadium on Tuesdays and Fridays and also at the Lamai stadium on Wednesday and Saturdays.

Thai Cooking Classes

Light healthy Thai food is getting more and more popular all over the world. You can learn how to cook classic Thai dishes yourself here on Samui. Classes are available at some hotels and there is a professional Thai cooking school, "Samui Institute of Thai Culinary Arts" in Chaweng.

You can also arrange a cooking class to be held at the villa by the resident Chef or someone from outside. This is VERY POPULAR with all our guests.
